ROB BATSTONE  JAZZ

Rob arrived in New Zealand in 2004, having previously lived and worked for ten years in London. Showing his roots in many years of classical training, Rob’s playing emphasizes the lyrical and is strongly influenced by Bill Evans and Keith Jarrett.

 As well as performing on solo piano, Rob plays regularly in a piano/double-bass duo with Craig Williams, in a duo with saxist Jim Langabeer, with his own trio and with a sax-led quartet.
